ORB Giveaway Numero Uno- Sweaty Bands!

Today I am excited to let you all in on Operation Red Bikini's very first giveaway! Leigh Ann and I have been working super hard to get some great goodies for our participants to win along the way, as well as incorporate in that big ol' prize pack the ultimate "winner" will receive. Of course the moral of the story is that everyone participating is a winner because you'll all reach (or surpass) your goals, right? That's the spirit!

Now to get to the good stuff. I was contacted by the nice people over at Sweaty Bands recently to do a review of their products on my blog. Not only did I receive excellent customer service, but my bands arrived in no time. What a fun surprise in the mail! Sweaty Bands are made with a sweat absorbing material so they are perfect for wicking away all that sweat. It helps that they are super cute too. I love that some of them are even work appropriate. I wore my gold band to work.

Sweaty Bands come in tons and tons of prints and thick or thin width. I love the thick variety, but home girl gotta lot of hair. And even better, you can order customized bands! I plan on ordering one for my half in February. Actually, who am I kidding, I plan on ordering all of the following:

Because I need a leopard print version of every single accessory I own. This one is even playfully named "Cougartown"

Because who doesn't love pink, and who doesn't love bling? The gold one I'm wearing above is shimmery like this one, you just can't tell due to bad lighting in my bathroom, where all my high fashion photo shoots take place.

Where my Chevron lovers at? Ooh OOOOHHH!
NOTE-These are not the ones being given away, just a few of the ones I love from their site. I forgot to take a picture of the ones up for grabs, but they're just as cute I promise!

I also plan on customizing one with my blog url (can you say geek?) to wear for the half, if I am able to participate. It might become a tradition to get a new Sweaty Band for every race. They have some great themed races around here that I'm pretty sure I've already found Sweaty Bands for.

The verdict on working on with Sweaty Bands:
I sweat alot when I run, especially from my head. Weird right? I didn't even notice the sweat. The band absorbed it right up (don't worry, you can wash 'em). Also, I have an abnormally large head. Seriously. I can't even fit in my husband's hats. The band was super comfortable for me, and my neighbor (with an abnormally small head) tried on my same band (before I sweated in it of course!) and it never slipped once. I think the wicking material helps with that. That being said, anyone can wear them. Go to their website www.sweatybands.com to see all the possibilities!

Those kind folks sent me some bands to try and some to give away. The giveaway will run until Sunday night and I'll announce the winner Monday morning here, as well as by email. You've got plenty of time to enter below!

  5. I haven't heard of these, but they sound awesome! I'm a "head-sweater", as well (that sounds really disgusting ha). Loving this #operationredbikini. I've come down with a nasty cold and having to take a day off from the gym, because I can't breathe. :( I'll just have to eat really well today. I am down 2.5lbs from last week and I was pretty stoked about that considering I had 2 birthday dinners this past weekend. My goal is to get down to 135 overall, but my #operationredbikinigoal is to wear a size 8 to my graduation in May. :)
